Museum of Musical Instruments

The Museum of Musical Instruments in Poznań is the only museum of its kind in Poland. It is housed in three tenements in Poznan’s Old Market Square. Its collection includes approx. 2,500 monuments from different eras from around the world. The collection includes a harpsichord played by a few-year-old Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, there are also pianos from Chopin’s time, and a unique collection of non-European instruments.

The scope of work included restoration of the facade and stone elements, repair of the roofing, restoration of stained-glass windows, restoration, and replacement of window woodwork, and reconstruction of installations at the Museum of Musical Instruments in Poznań. We renovated the facade and all the stone details, as well as the window and door woodwork, using the original substance so as not to lose, but to emphasize the authenticity and historical qualities of the building. The revitalization also included the repair of the roof sheathing with its thermal insulation. The work also included an intricate process of revitalizing the delicate stained-glass windows, including replacing all the window woodwork along with its thermal insulation.
